Last night - I drove my 2011 Grand Cherokee from Libertyville to MSP...temperatures were in the low 40s...All but ten miles or so interestate driving at 65-69mph went a little slower down to 60mph due to fog a net of about 20 miles. The sea level rises from 450-931 ft. from Libertyville to the MCR office in St.Paul there are a lot of up and down hill grades where sea level changes over 200 feet. You can tell sea level instantaneously right on the GPS system screen.  Also the fog showed the good performance of the rain sensing wipers they go on and control speed automatically based on density of water on the windshield.  Also the automatic high bean headlights changed many times in and out of the dense fog.  The ride is improved over the 2008 model year - a tighter, very air tight car and the air suspension is not quite like floating on a cloud, but pretty close.

The most amazing part was the fuel mileage 23.5 average for the entire trip at the highwayspeeds.  I had heard others indicate they had gotten 23-25mpg with the new Petastar V6, but finally experienced it personally.  The new 10 inch long Durango with the V6 should get very similar mileage results.  The V6 gives you the power you need up and down the hills.  Very little downshifting on the entire trip.

I just wantd to take a moment to commend your dealership and more importantly your finance manager Mark Gotlieb. I was recommended to go and see Mark do to my current credit situation. Royce and his team provided me and my wife the most care-free car buying experience we'd ever experienced. He was personable (of course) and worked effortlessly (apparently to us) at identifying our wants and found a fit for us without any unwanted bells or whistles. He and his sales manager were quite open about how they would set their selling price for us. This was not at all like the adversarial stereotype of car buying that our culture has led us to expect. Selling as a service, not as a scramble for dollars. What a nice concept.
